DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

DAY 1 – SOUTH COAST → YALA SAFARI

Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kosgoda, Ahungalla, Bentota, or Induruwa. The drive takes you through Sri Lanka’s southern countryside, passing lagoons, villages, and dry-zone landscapes.

Arrival near Yala National Park

Upon arrival near Yala National Park, you will transfer to a 4×4 safari jeep accompanied by an experienced local tracker who understands animal behavior and park routes.

Yala Jeep Safari Experience

The safari inside Yala National Park usually lasts 3–4 hours, depending on wildlife movement and park regulations.

During the safari, you may see:

• Leopards resting or crossing tracks
• Elephants near waterholes
• Sloth bears (seasonal sightings)
• Wild buffalo and deer
• Crocodiles near lagoons
• A wide variety of birds

DAY 2 – YALA → GALLE → RETURN TO SOUTH COAST

After breakfast, begin the scenic coastal drive towards Galle.

Galle Fort Exploration

Arrive in Galle and explore the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Portuguese and later fortified by the Dutch.

During the guided walk, you will see:

• Ancient fort walls and ramparts
• Colonial-era buildings
• The lighthouse and ocean viewpoints
• Boutique shops, cafés, and galleries
