By confirming a booking with us (via WhatsApp, email, or booking form), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below.
Zoysa Tours operates private tours mainly from Kosgoda, Ahungalla, Bentota, and Induruwa, and all policies are designed to be fair, transparent, and practical for travelers.
CANCELLATION POLICY
1. Tour Cancellation by the Guest
If you need to cancel or change your booking, please inform us as early as possible.
Day Tours & Activities
- More than 24 hours before tour date:
No cancellation charges - Less than 24 hours before tour date or no-show:
Cancellation charges may apply to cover vehicle, driver, or pre-booked service costs
Round Tours / Multi-Day Tours
- Cancellation terms depend on:
- Length of the tour
- Hotels and services booked
- Safari or activity reservations
Any advance payments made may be partially or fully non-refundable if costs have already been incurred. This will be clearly explained before confirmation.
2. Changes to Bookings
- Date changes are subject to availability
- Tour modifications (adding or removing places) may affect pricing
- We always try to accommodate reasonable changes when possible
3. Cancellation Due to Weather or Unforeseen Conditions
Some activities depend on weather and natural conditions (e.g., whale watching, boat safaris).
If weather or safety conditions prevent the tour:
- We may reschedule the activity
- Offer a suitable alternative
- Or cancel without penalty where possible
Guest safety is always our priority.
4. Cancellation by Zoysa Tours
In rare cases where we must cancel a tour due to unavoidable circumstances (vehicle issues, extreme weather, emergencies):
- We will inform you as soon as possible
- Offer an alternative tour or date
- Or refund any advance payment made

5. Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed once:
- You have agreed to the tour details and price
- We have confirmed availability
- Any required advance payment (if applicable) has been received
6. Payments
- Payment terms vary depending on the tour type
- Most day tours are paid on the tour day
- Round tours may require an advance payment
- Payments are usually accepted in:
- Cash (USD, EUR, or Sri Lankan Rupees)
Payment details will be clearly communicated before confirmation.
7. Prices & Inclusions
- Tour prices are based on:
- Number of guests
- Tour duration
- Distance and destinations
- Inclusions and exclusions (entrance fees, meals, activities) will be clearly explained
- Any additional costs will be communicated before the tour
8. Private Tours Only
All services provided by Zoysa Tours are private tours unless specifically stated otherwise.
You will not be combined with other groups.
9. Pick-Up & Drop-Off
- Pick-up and drop-off are provided from agreed locations
- Delays caused by late guest arrival may shorten the tour
- Please be ready at the confirmed pick-up time
10. Travel Times & Itineraries
- Travel times are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or road conditions
- The order of visits may change for practical reasons
- We always aim to provide the best possible experience within available time
11. Entrance Fees & Activities
- Entrance fees and activity tickets are not included unless clearly mentioned
- Safari sightings and wildlife encounters cannot be guaranteed
- Some activities are subject to park rules and availability
12. Children & Families
- Children are welcome on tours
- Parents or guardians are responsible for children at all times
- Please inform us of children’s ages when booking so we can plan comfortably
13. Guest Responsibilities
Guests are responsible for:
- Carrying valid identification
- Personal belongings during the tour
- Following local laws and cultural guidelines
- Informing us of medical conditions that may affect the tour
Zoysa Tours is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items.
14. Health & Safety
- Guests join tours at their own risk
- We prioritize safe driving and responsible travel
- Certain activities involve outdoor conditions and uneven terrain
Please follow the driver’s or guide’s instructions at all times.
15. Liability
Zoysa Tours acts as a tour service provider and is not liable for:
- Accidents beyond our control
- Natural events or wildlife behavior
- Delays caused by weather, traffic, or third parties
16. Use of Photos & Media
During tours, photos or videos may be taken for promotional purposes.
If you prefer not to appear in such material, please inform us in advance.
17. Governing Law
All tours and services provided by Zoysa Tours are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
