DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

DAY 1 – SOUTH COAST → SIGIRIYA

Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Kosgoda, Ahungalla, Bentota, or Induruwa. Travel inland through scenic countryside towards Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.

Sigiriya Area Arrival

Arrive in the Sigiriya area and check in to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a relaxed evening surrounded by nature.

DAY 2 – SIGIRIYA → KANDY

Sigiriya Rock Fortress

Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of Sri Lanka’s most famous landmarks. Explore ancient gardens, frescoes, and enjoy panoramic views from the summit.

Drive to Kandy

After the climb, travel towards Kandy, stopping en route at spice gardens or local villages if time permits.

Temple of the Tooth Relic

Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most important religious sites in Sri Lanka.

DAY 3 – KANDY → NUWARA ELIYA

Leave Kandy and head into the central highlands, where the climate becomes cooler and the scenery greener.

Tea Plantations & Factory Visit

Visit a tea plantation and factory to learn about Sri Lanka’s world-famous Ceylon tea.

Nuwara Eliya Sightseeing

Explore Nuwara Eliya, often called “Little England,” known for colonial architecture and misty landscapes.

DAY 4 – NUWARA ELIYA → ELLA

Enjoy one of the most scenic drives in Sri Lanka as you travel from Nuwara Eliya to Ella.

Scenic Stops

Visit waterfalls and viewpoints along the way, surrounded by tea estates and rolling hills.

Ella Exploration

Explore Ella, including the famous Nine Arch Bridge and local viewpoints.

DAY 5 – ELLA → YALA

Leave the cool hill country and descend into Sri Lanka’s wildlife region.

Yala National Park Safari

In the afternoon, enjoy a jeep safari at Yala National Park, home to leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, and rich birdlife.

Overnight: Yala / Tissamaharama

DAY 6 – YALA → MIRISSA

After breakfast, travel along the southern coast towards Mirissa.

Beach Time & Relaxation

Arrive in Mirissa and enjoy free time at the beach. Depending on the season, optional whale watching can be arranged early morning or next day.

DAY 7 – MIRISSA → SOUTH COAST / COLOMBO

After breakfast, begin the return journey to your hotel on the south coast or transfer to Colombo or the airport.

Optional stops can include coastal viewpoints, local markets, or Galle Fort if time permits.
