DETAILED ITINERARY

Very Early Morning – Pick-up from Your Hotel

Your whale watching adventure begins with a very early morning private pick-up from your hotel in Kosgoda, Ahungalla, Bentota, or Induruwa. An early start is essential to reach Mirissa Harbour before the boats depart and to experience the calmest sea conditions.

During the drive, you will travel along the quiet coastal roads of southern Sri Lanka, passing sleeping fishing villages and ocean views at sunrise.

Arrival at Mirissa Harbour

Upon arrival at Mirissa Harbour, you will check in for the whale watching excursion. After a short safety briefing, you will board a shared whale watching boat operated by licensed and experienced crews who follow local marine regulations.

Life jackets and basic safety equipment are provided onboard.

Whale Watching Boat Safari

The whale watching experience usually lasts 3 to 5 hours, depending on sea conditions and whale movement.

During the boat safari, you may encounter:
